I came up with scrawl as a teaching exercise. I wanted something fun and artistic I could get students to play with that would “accidentally” teach programming concepts in the process. To my eternal shame there is YouTube video of me explaining how the system works.

Although most of my work is released under the CC-BY-SA 4.0 licence that places some restrictions on how the work can be used, the pieces contained in the “Scrawl” series are released under a very permissive CC0 public domain licence: You can copy, modify, and distribute the work, even for commercial purposes, all without asking permission. This is reflected in the github repository associated with this series.
